Tower Bridge (historic) - London, England

In London, England is one of the most recognized bridges in the world, the Tower Bridge.  Designed by Sir Horace Jones and engineered by Sir John Wolfe-Barry, the construction of the Tower Bridge began in 1886.

The Main Street Bridge in downtown Jacksonville was constructed in the 1930's to allow travel over the St. Johns River.  This structure, having a 365-foot continuous truss vertical lift span, is the longest in the state of Florida.  

 

Bridge of Lions (historic) - St. Augustine, Fl.  

In the nation's oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida,the Bridge of Lions is the center of controversy.  Numerous structural problems are requiring the bridge to be either restored or replaced.
