PROJECT OVERVIEW
June 16, 2000 In Stockholm, Sweden, Skanska was awarded a
contract to build the new Arsta Bridge with a price tag of SEK 400
million.
The expansion of capacity south of central Stockholm, the new
double-track Arsta railway bridge is included. The new bridge, will
span Stockholm's Arstaviken bay, with a length of 833 meters/2732 feet.
The bridge will include service roads on each side of the tracks with
pedestrian and bicycle paths.
London-based Foster and Partners completed the design of the
bridge.
The construction will begin during summer 2000 and be completed in
September 2003. Also included will be Skanska subsidiary, Stabilator.
Skanska just recently completed the Oresund Bridge and the Uddevalla
Bridge. Other project currently unconstruction include Railway bridges in
Trollhattan and near Staket.
